:hugs: Coworkers and I have been just shaking our heads in amazement for months really, but especially this week. Being in policy as we are, we've had a front-row and slightly-more-DC-centric viewpoint than most folks, and it's just amazing watching how badly you can fuck up when you don't know why government works the way it does. Like, there is a reason that you do not do the shit that Drumpf does and expect no one to notice, but he's in such a bubble of yes-folks (and yes-folks who have no govt. experience) that there's this huge gaping hole where legal and political knowledge and reasonable expectations should be. Thus this firing, which evidently they expected everyone to shrug off?
Things here are steadily getting worse for him, fear not. There are cracks between him and major Republican party members (John McCain, Lindsey Graham) over Russia, and the more he pushes back on that, the more the cracks widen. Impeachment is difficult to do without a massive, across-the-aisles outcry, but this will not be forgotten, and the Russia investigation is going forward whether he likes it or not. And this is just one more brick in the wall, with more to come. 2018 will be key, and he loses people with every scandal.

Stay strong, hon!
