Dungeons and Beast Wars and Dragons
Years ago when I first started playing D&D I made an attempt to squish all the BW characters into D&D character classes. I recently re-found the post, got smacked in the face with a plotbunny, and wound up reworking the whole cast.

So the basic idea is that the G1 Autobots & Decepticons used to be mortals who during the course of their war ended up getting into some extraplanar bullshit and ended up ascending to archfey status. Centuries later, they are mythic figures/minor gods, but the stories told about them change depending on who's doing the telling. The Archformers have been quiet for the last few centuries, but when ArchMegatron notes a young firebrand named for him starting to stir the pot, he starts Meddling In The Affairs Of Mortals once again. His ultimate goal, of course, is to re-litigate the outcome of the war that got everyone Archfey'd in the first place...
Optimus Primal - Hunter!ranger who multiclasses into Oath of the Ancients paladin over the course of the series as his relationship with Archfey Optimus Prime deepens (and he needs the raw power to keep up with BW!Megatron). Half-elf, Sage background. (Because he just successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis before going on this mission. ;P)
Rhinox - Life Domain cleric/Battle Master fighter, hangs back and does all the tactical stuff. (Part of him thinks he enjoys the 'playing God' aspect a bit too much, but surely that won't ever be an issue, right? Right?) Brass Dragonborn, Soldier background.
Cheetor - Way of Four Elements monk (speed and flashiness)/College of Valor bard b/c he’s kind of set up as Optimus Primal’s eventual legacy-bearer. Human, Sailor background (because pilot, lol.)
Rattrap - Assassin!rogue. Forest gnome, Soldier background.
Dinobot - Berserker!barbarian. Tiefling, Criminal background. (Dragonborn would also work, but what the hell, I like tiefs.)
Tigatron - Circle of the Moon!druid. Elf, Hermit background.
Airazor - Ranger, L1 so she hasn’t picked a subclass yet (but she’s probably gonna go Beast Master) (…ahem). Elf, Sage background (still an undergrad tho).
Silverbolt - ...yeah, Oath of Devotion paladin 4 lyfe. Half-elf, Acolyte background.
Depth Charge - Oath of Vengeance paladin. Green Dragonborn, Soldier background.
Tigahawk - ...just a straight up archfey, though if I actually get around to writing this I probably will consign them to the Bin of History. I hated how they did Tiga and Raze dirty.
Megatron - Battle Master fighter/Pact of the Tome archfey!warlock (the Tome is the Golden Disk). Blue Dragonborn, Criminal background.
Scorponok - School of Transmutation wizard. Human, Sage background.
Terrorsaur - College of Lore bard/thief!rogue (making him bardy is probably giving him too much credit, but whatever, if WaywardInsecticon can make him more interesting than he has any right to be, so can I). Tiefling, Entertainer background.
Tarantulas - Fiend!Warlock, Pact of the Chain. (his familiar is those little flashlight spiders, i know it’s not on the list, it’s a homebrew don’t @ me). Everyone thinks his patron is idk Soundwave or something but it's actually Unicron. Why people don't pick up on this when he does Fiend spells is beyond me. Human, Guild Artisan background.
Blackarachnia - Arcane Trickster!rogue. Half-elf, Charlatan background.
Inferno - Berserker!barbarian, advantage on ability saves against Calm Person. Human, Soldier background.
Quickstrike - Straightforward hit-thing-with-stick Champion!fighter. Still rolls poorly. Grew up with Silverbolt and is salty about it. Human, Acolyte background.
Rampage - ….tbh he’d almost be more comfortable as a monster of some kind but quite frankly there’s Too Goddamn Many to rummage through looking for the exact correct Thing. Eldritch Knight/War Domain Cleric for tankiness. (His god is Starscream since he was an attempt to recreate Starscream’s immortality thing. Nobody is thrilled about this.) Red Dragonborn, Soldier background (since there is no Science Experiment background. ;P)
Waspinator - Wild Magic!sorcerer, doing his best. Halfling, Urchin background.
Transmutate - Wild Magic!sorceror, briefly. Tiefling, Urchin background.
