How I feel about this character: He doesn't show up in my head that often but he's very useful in certain situations, narratively speaking. And in a lot of fics he ends up adding a little complexity to a group that seems otherwise comprised of generally amiable types. All the people I ship romantically with this character: I know him and Hound are the popular ship and I don't dislike them together, but I'll be honest I kind of prefer to write him with Jazz if I write him with anyone. I've also dabbled in Mirage/Scourge here and there, kind of a take on the "hunter/tracker vs. Mr. Invisible" dynamic with added crossfaction. My non-romantic OTP for this character: Well, like I said, I don't dislike him with Hound. I like the idea of him finding it reassuring that there's someone who can always keep an eye on him, and that someone is a low-key sweetheart. My unpopular opinion about this character: Mirage should have had a larger role in the show after his pivotal role in bringing down the Victory in the pilot. There's a hint of something interesting in his dynamic with the rest of the crew in that. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I mean there's a lot I feel we missed out on due to the cartoon's format, but I wish we could have gotten a little of Mirage talking about his life on Cybertron. Would it be nostalgia or bitterness? my OTP: Pass. I find his inner life more interesting to probe than his hardware. ;) my cross over ship: My wife and BFF are over here going 'harem anime! Harem anime! :DDDD' sooo now I'm thinking Mirage/the Turks from FFVII. XD Not sure how that happens, but I'm sure it would be stylish. :D a headcanon fact: Mirage is an accomplished detailer/gilt artist, kind of the equivalent of a tattooist on Earth only it involves shiny metal inlays.
