Tarantulas had always been the type to have a dozen projects going at once. Chemistry, organic biology, astrogeology, machine-building and blueprinting - never the same thing for long, and when he finished one project, it was because he was using it to procrastinate on several others.

His multitasking didn't slow down despite the regrettable lack of materials or a decent command element to support his projects on prehistoric Earth. Tarantulas grumbled about it, but he found ways to persevere, in between the pedestrian projects he was forced to complete for Megatron. His little light-spiders. Perfecting the stasis web technology. Plotting the seizure and modification of a stasis pod to aid in his escape.

And a cunning trap, ready to drain the vital energies of a certain kitten.

All in his free time, of course.
