Because after Botcon...
...I need a jump-start on my writing engine. Plus I've just wanted to do this. It's the OC Meme, stolen from (lj)beckyh2112! :D Prompt me and I'll write a drabble featuring one of my OCs for you.
The Rules:
- Prompt as many as you want, but I only promise one drabble per person. You may get more, depending on if your prompts ping me.
- Include a scenario/song lyric/emotion/some sort of inspiration, and a faction or side if the fandom calls for it. (Autobot/Decepticon/Maximal/Predacon/neutral, Keybearer/Heartless/Nobody, Shinra/Avalanche/Jenovite, Turtles/Foot... well, check the tags if you don't know my fandoms. XD)
- If you like, you may prompt a specific OC that you already know of.

It was almost a shame to have to shatter Megatron's illusion, Sagewind thought, as she applied her powerful incisors to the lock of the cage the purple tyrant had carelessly left her in. The work went slowly, but millimeter by millimeter, the lock gave way... until Sagewind hit a weak point and the lock shattered in her mouth.
He'll have to learn to keep a maintenance schedule too, Sagewind thought smugly as, channeling Rattrap once more, she snuck through the ventilation ducts to make good her escape.

Moar jackelope.
When she was nervous, Sagewind's Simfur-build accent became thicker: she pronounced the name as Dah-no-baht. Dinobot glanced up from his console wordlessly, and - predictable as always - the little jackelope-Maximal began to fidget. "I - I been thinkin' a lot about... what you said," she offered.
Dinobot grumbled. "Optimus Primal has already made his displeasure at my behavior known," he informed her. The memory stung - to be scolded like a wayward sparkling by a commander who was childish in his understanding himself!
"N-no," Sagewind said quickly. "I mean - you were right."
Her voice dropped as she spoke, until it was barely audible. Dinobot looked up, surprised.
"You were right," Sagewind repeated, locking her hands behind her back - a gesture that would have been openly treacherous among Predacons, but it was difficult to take offense when Sagewind did it. "Boss-bot shouldnt'a yelled. You were only tellin' the truth."
"Hnn," Dinobot said, for lack of anything better to say. A Maximal would no doubt know how to handle such a statement, from such a skittish little creature; they probably spent all their time coaxing orphaned turbo-puppies out of their hiding places too.
Either his silence was taken as encouragement, or she'd practiced in the mirror before coming and knew exactly what she was going to say. "Dinobot, I - I signed on this mission as a historian. I ain't never gonna be a warrior like you. But-" she forged on quickly before Dinobot could denounce her for making excuses, "- I can't keep on bein' useless in battle either! What if someone got hurt protectin' me?"
Dinobot tilted his head when Sagewind fell silent, and that, it seemed, provided the final push of courage that she needed. "Dinobot, I wanna ask you to teach me how to fight," she said in a determined rush.
Schooling his features to stony impassivity, Dinobot rose to his feet and towered over the femme. Sagewind's optics widened, seemingly wondering too late if she'd offended him, but she stood her ground and didn't take her words back.
"Come," Dinobot ordered, and pushed past her.
He got halfway down the hall before the fist squeak of protest reached his audial sensors. "Wh- I didn't mean right now!"
"No time," Dinobot called over his shoulder, thoroughly enjoying himself, "like the present."
"You impossible - Dinobot, wait!"
As Sagewind scampered to catch up, Dinobot allowed himself a moment to indulge in fancy: his first student would not be his last. The cat desperately needed the discipline Dinobot could provide; the vermin would benefit from a few takedowns in the training room. Perhaps even Optimus Primal himself could be convinced...
As Sagewind caught up, Dinobot forced the smile off his face and led her to her first lesson.

Meteor cast a bloody tinge over the summer sky, and Rena imagined that it intensified the heat of the afternoon. It was too hot to cuddle, really, but Rena couldn't bear to shake free of her birds as they nestled in around her. She stroked beaks, groomed feathers, accepted preening of her pigtails with almost her customary giggle. These birds were her family, more than any human ever could be. She knew them down to every crooked feather and expressive eye, and they loved her as their funny flockmate.
Go, Cloud had said. Find the reason you're fighting.
Rena leaned back against the chocobos' flanks and stared up at Meteor until she could no longer see.
