Yet again, mostly partner’s brainchildren, migrating into shared headspace. And they appear in Dipolemacy too, so I might as well give them their shot at the spotlight.
OC #25, Sunset House [Transformers]
Sunset House - where the stars come out to play. A cabaret/bar/saloon-with-benefits that dates back before the war, offering dance, music, kink demonstrations, and various flavors of sex work, it maintained its neutrality and independence throughout the upheaval of the war thanks to a militantly-enforced code of conduct, and in fact served as a neutral meeting point between factions a few times. Meet the staff:
La Lune: An impressive, solemn mech of few words, La Lune is the owner and manager of Sunset House. He is also secretly a Traan-style sparkless sapient who escaped his creators and built himself a body with the help of Polaris. He’s fiercely protective of his stars, and has earned their unshakeable loyalty in return. La Lune does not take clients for sex work the way the stars do, but he taught the stars everything they know about the business of Being Very Kinky and will occasionally play with them if they need him to. The satisfaction he derives from that is less sexual than emotional in nature, but it’s enough for the stars to refer to him as ‘the House dom’.
Polaris: An incredibly sweet-natured Minibot-sized aquatic model, Polaris was built in the Iacon towers but had a miserable time living there, deprived of the emotional connections he craved and not at all suited to the work he was expected to take on. He ran away and met Lune, who was little more than a talking box at the time. The two of them agreed to help each other survive, and soon became fast friends. By the time La Lune’s new body took shape, Polaris had nurtured his interest in dance into a full-fledged career, his skills rivaling those of the best dancers on Cybertron even though he was largely self-taught, and upon those skills Sunset House was initially built. Polaris’s other specialty is as a submissive, for which he is every bit as famous in some circles as for his dancing. Polaris is also close friends with Jazz.
Sirius: A former sex-trafficking victim who found a haven with Lune and Sunset House after his bordello was raided and his pimps arrested. Sirius is an affable groundframe who is always the first to volunteer when there’s work to be done. He helps La Lune with the administrative side of the House, oversees the bar staff, greets new patrons to the House and goes over the rules with them, and acts as the ‘spa star’, attending his clients in the House’s small but well-appointed tub and polishing salon. He’s also a submissive-by-appointment, but his specialty runs towards restraints and suchlike - since the mechs who abused him never bothered to tie him up, the act of being restrained makes Sirius feel safe and valued.
Celesti: To almost everyone who knows him, Celesti is the charming, urbane Vosian model who performs on stage with Polaris, a dom for hire, and very firmly Neutral. Few know that he started off a clone in the Decepticon Army whose spark was seeded by Starscream, and that’s exactly how he prefers it. Like Lune, he was never meant to gain sapience, much less escape his creators and strike out on his own, but that’s exactly what he did, spending some time as a scrappy Neutral Seeker before meeting Lune and Polaris and evolving his current polished persona. Celesti’s usual play partner is Polaris, but his spark spins only for La Lune - a feeling that until recently he thought he would have to keep hidden, due to Lune’s meticulous efforts to treat his stars equally without any favoritism. (Other stars are kind of relieved the two of them finally got together. The sexual/emotional tension was thick enough to bludgeon someone with.)
Centauri: Built by a pair of archivists during the war, Centauri is the youngest of them all and it shows: he’s impulsive, headstrong, an incurable flirt and doesn’t always think before he speaks, but his affection and loyalty for the stars and Lune are unshakeable. Centauri’s also a shuttle frame who suffers from varying levels of vertigo and agoraphobia, partially thanks to a youngling-hood spent underground and partially thanks to a sensitivity to wandering sparks and other, rather more dangerous things of a spiritual nature. Centauri is flexible as far as kinks go, willing to try anything at least twice, but his usual play partner is Sirius.
