Aug. 11th, 2022 11:02 pmMe yesterday, nose in freshly pirated Pokemon Y: X/Y is my favorite gen because the Battle Chateau lets you beat the crap out of obnoxious rich people. 10/10 game of the century.
Me today, likewise: X/Y is my favorite gen because the Battle Chateau sees you entering into this world full of people who are, yes, spoiled and self-absorbed, but also desperately unhappy, and as you continue to battle them, your drive for money/XP pulls you deeper into their world, slowly eating away at your soul until at long last you reach the lofty rank of Grand Duke or Duchess and complete your transformation into one of them. 10/10 game of the century.
