These two issues will be Giffen, Jones, and Sears’ last collaboration, though we’ll see a bit more of Sears in JLA. I think the brutal paranoia of this arc plays to Sears' strengths.

Last time out, the JLE repaired the dying Starro’s vessel to send him home. It blew up before reaching the stratosphere, and the JLE-ers think they’ve accidentally killed an old League foe just after he mended his ways. Miles away, starfish began to rain on London.

The Leaguers slink back toward their headquarters, still mortified at their apparent failure, unaware that anything more serious might be wrong with London since they left it.

In other news; My TMNT 2003 server ended up hosting a Secret Santa event, albeit in celebration of Valentine's Day/White Day rather than Christmas. My assigned person was monebula-art over on Tumblr and her prompts asked for injured/caretaker with Leonardo and her OC, Harley Jones, which I was more than happy to draw.

I can't express how proud I am of this particular piece. I've been trying to be a little more detailed when comes to things like clothes, hair, and shading and I think I pretty much succeeded. I've also been experimenting with textured brushes for lineart and shading, although I'm quickly finding I'm not terribly fond of those XD (Probably because I prefer to try and make my art look like it could be a screenshot or key art for an animated TV series.)

Notes: Fluff, just pure (slightly spicy) fluff. And I was lucky enough to have been a repeat visitor to the location mentioned in this fic, back in the 1980s. It was paradise.

Of course, a return to Abnett Guardians also means a return to after-action video logs!

The spring season starts in about two-and-a-half weeks. What are y'all looking forward to?

I am very hyped for the new Ascendance of a Bookworm season.

More guardedly looking forward to Witch Hat Atelier. I've heard good things about the manga and it seems likely to be up my alley but I've never read it so I don't know.

I'm also always up for a fun "villainess" show and I'm seeing a couple of those to check out.

While these are my main ships in haikyuu, I have read all sorts of ships and if the story is well-written I will read most ships for haikyuu. Miya Atsumu/ Suna Rintarou (haikyuu) is my ultimate long standing favourite though.

I also have ships that have stuck around even tho I'd say I have left the fandom, mainly Voltron and BNHA, I left BNHA cause I dropped the show years ago and now only read fics of a couple of my favourite pairings that don't go into the actual plot of the show (I do not plan to pick it back up). Whereas with Voltron I was there as the last season at least was dropping but I only go back occasionally only for certain tropes or certain ships.

These ships are primarily, Bakugou Katsuki/Kaminari Denki (BNHA), Lance/Shiro (Voltron).

I like to post about: I've been posting my fanfiction so far, may post some original work, may post some reviews of whatever I'm watching or whatever, may post about stuff that comes up as I learn Japanese that I find interesting.
About Me/Other Info: I'm a writer, read a lot of BL manga and watch BL shows. I love mind reading and fake dating as tropes, especially. I dabble in truth potion/serum works quite a bit too. (If I'm being honest, in most of the fandoms I read for I've read almost every mind reading fic on ao3 and even started just reading random pairings for fandoms I'm not in just cause I wanted to read mind reading as a trope)

I would love to brainstorm haikyuu fanfic with others, or talk about the show especially.

Over in the Northeast for memorial and, while I took a nap instead of going to the aquarium, I was able to go to two lovely shops (confectionery that sold me ANISE PASTILLES!!! and gave me several samples of things and a market that gave me MAPLE SOFT SERVE with MAPLE SPRINKLES ON IT) with

jadelennox and then went over to hers to have delicious Indian food and talk about books and food and Tasting History aaaaaand I maybe also infodumped about Care Bears II aka Faustian bargains in the woods with ten-year-olds, but! I did not infodump about Transformers (and specifically My Beloved Skyfire), I had restraint! Some restraint!

I did get to tell her about CrossingsCon.

Sound of Crashing

The moment she heard the crash, Dinah was on her feet and moving, uncaring what had been broken as long as it wasn't that little girl who had stolen her heart. She skidded into the kitchen before Lian had made her escape from the counter, the drawers askew to let Dinah know how the girl had gotten up there on it. She was beside the refrigerator, from which the ceramic cookie jar in the shape of a coyote had tumbled to the floor.

The cookie jar was not salvageable. Lian's face was a picture of contriteness, and Dinah just moved to get her down.

"You sit on right here, Dart," Dinah said, depositing her on the kitchen table which was at least lower than the counter. "Until I get the pieces swept up, the floor is lava and you don't have firefighter boots!"

"Didn't mean to break Mąʼii."

"I know, sweetie. And you did a lot of problem solving to figure out how to get it while I was on the phone. But next time, you should ask, and I can help." Dinah found the broom and a bucket, picking up the larger pieces before sweeping up the rest of the debris. She's need to get a box or a large jug to put the shards in, but for now, she just wanted it off the floor.

"Okay, so I need to find a new cookie jar, and we're going to need new cookies," Dinah said. "Ready to go shopping?"

"Yes!"

Dinah reached for the girl, picking her up and settling her on a hip, even if Lian was a little big for that, especially for her shortness. She hugged Lian tight, glad nothing had been hurt on her.

"You do have to tell your daddy you're sorry."

"Will do!"

Happy Saturday!

I'm going to be doing a little maintenance today. It will likely cause a tiny interruption of service (specifically for www.dreamwidth.org) on the order of 2-3 minutes while some settings propagate. If you're on a journal page, that should still work throughout!

If it doesn't work, the rollback plan is pretty quick, I'm just toggling a setting on how traffic gets to the site. I'll update this post if something goes wrong, but don't anticipate any interruption to be longer than 10 minutes even in a rollback situation.
